New Mexico State University responded to a grass roots stakeholder initiative by developing and implementing a Food Technology program. Since 1993, the Extension Home Economics Food Technology program has assisted food producers in the state by providing information on food regulations and with services such as process review of acidified foods and analysis for nutritional labeling. Food processors receive direct technical assistance for product development, labeling and marketing of new food products.
It is nice to know that in some other countries, their are institutions which uses their knowledge regarding Home Economics and Food Technology to help their countrymen be aware of the new information on food regulations. In this manner,we can see the the sense of unity among these people really exist. They do not establish the sense of crab mentality as witnessed in some other countries. This kind of attitude is very plausible. And in the end, the know that all of them will still sow what they reap. They helped one another because in time, everybody will be benefited.
